It’s been a lovely first 5 days for Invenzioni – sales are going pretty well (we’ve made a few hundred quid so far, which is a fine start), and the general consensus is that it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done. Largely, I guess, because of Mike being the other 50% of it. 🙂
A few people round the internet have written things about it. Here’s a round-up:
John Toolan, over at ThisIsNotAScene.com gave it 9/10 in this lovely review:

Kevin Johnson at NoTreble.com wrote nice things about it too:

Phil Wain – who has gigged with Mike in the past and has been a long time supporter of my music, said some lovely things on his blog:

Lee Pellington was the person who made the session possible where we recorded the album, so he told a bit of his story with it:

And Federico Antin continues to be a vocal supporter of my musical exploits here:

Thanks so much to all of you for your support. Huge thanks to everyone who’s bought it. In real terms, the album has been about a month of full time work to record/edit/mix/master, and I doubt we’ll make back the entire ‘value’ of that time any time soon, but that’s not why we did it. We did it because we want to make the best music we can because the music deserves it. I hope you can hear the difference. I’ll write more about the recording/mix/mastering process soon…
Beautiful music (as always) Steve!
