Well, the California tour is over, I’ve been home a week or so, jetlag has worn off and the mammoth task of preparing the recordings from the tour with Daniel Berkman for some kind of future release is tentatively underway.
Meanwhile, our duo album seems to have found favour with the people who are listening to it and buying it. Thanks for the positive feedback. Here it is, if you’ve missed it so far:
I’ll hopefully soon write a proper tour round-up post, with NAMM-show highlights as well, but here are some videos from the tour – these were taken at the 2nd house concert, filmed by the lovely Stephen Harms; a delightful human being and tremendous bass-monkey in his own right. First up is me doing a solo version of A Year Afloat:
next up, Daniel and I playing a duo piece:
and finally, a trio improv with Artemis on vocals:
We did 8 duo shows (each with a trio bit with Artemis guesting) – and will in good time be releasing all of it in some way or another. I think at the moment the plan is to put together a 2nd album of all our favourite tracks, release all 8 gigs on a USB stick and then have a third release of all the vocal tracks… but that may change. Watch this space!
…this post is called Part 1 as I’ve also got a load of videos of me speaking at various events lined up for the next post. Come back soon for that 🙂
